Proudly Canadian Goods was founded in the spring of 2020, by Darla Cassibo, with the goal of supporting Canadian brands and retailers at a time when small businesses were pivoting to face a new and changing retail climate.

When partnering with a product or brand, we look for Canadian owned companies that are socially & environmentally responsible. Both are equally important to us as the greater good, of our land and those of us using it, should be a guiding principle.
Founder Darla Cassibo has 20 years experience working in the consumer goods wholesale/retail industry. Over this time she has run a distribution firm, managed a retail store, worked as a buyer, designed & opened stores, manufactured goods and represented hundreds of the industry’s best brands…all while loving every minute of it. When asked what really mattered to her as the leader of Proudly Canadian Goods she said:
“My desire is to help small scale manufacturers successfully launch and grow their brands. Their products are visions that have come to fruition and putting them out in the world and onto store shelves is a privilege. It’s also important to me that my retailers succeed and achieve their goals. A retail shop is someone’s dream…I don’t take that lightly. I aspire to offer the right product to the right retailers, so they see growth for their business. I’d be honoured, if I can be a seed that helps a Canadian brand or retailer flourish.”
Proudly Canadian Goods works with small scale suppliers and independent retailers. This is an important value to Darla who acknowledges that these businesses are the heart of our communities. Not only are small businesses important to our economy but they are often leaders in the grass roots movements that matter. How we make our livings should be respectful of the part we play in society and our influence on it.
